Supporting Livv Housing Group on their decarbonisation journey
About Livv Housing Group:
Livv Housing Group is an independent housing association, providing affordable, quality homes for around 25,000 people, through nearly 14,000 properties in Knowsley, Merseyside.
Livv Housing Group does what they say and helps others to unlock their potential. Livv Housing Group's prime objective is to work alongside their customers and local, regional, and national partners to be the provider of choice for great homes and much more. This means being willing and able to help people tackle tough issues like unemployment, poverty, domestic violence, poor mental health, and anti-social behaviour.

Background:
Livv Housing Group is dedicated to achieving positive social impact and flourishing communities, which means that reducing their energy consumption and carbon emissions is a key objective for Livv Housing Group.
What we did:
Thermatic Homes were approached by Livv Housing Group to install an additional 100 high wattage solar panels on the roof of their head office in Liverpool. In addition to this, we were also asked to install an EV charger for their office staff to use and an Air Source Heat Pump for their hot water, replacing the need for the building to use gas.
Results:
The additional 100 solar panels we installed, combined with their existing 48 KWh system will cover around 90% of their annual energy usage.
The project was completed in February 2022.
But our work with Livv Housing doesn’t end there. We are working closely with them to add further decarbonisation measures to achieve carbon neutrality in the following months.
We have also been awarded a contract to service and maintain 550 properties that have Solar PV, which includes replacing a high volume of inverters and generation meters, and, carrying out important compliance checks.
Following on from the 550 properties, we will continue to work with Livv Housing Group to install more decarbonisation technology in their housing stock.
Karl Wallace, Managing Director of Thermatic Homes states: “We’re so proud of the work we’re doing with Livv Housing, helping them on their decarbonisation journey. It’s wonderful to work with a forward-thinking housing association that are taking proactive steps to decarbonise their housing stock. Our renewable energy team have been supporting Livv Housing Group at every stage, and I’m delighted with the quality of the work.”
